Odin - The All Father Tribute Box

This detailed and beautiful box is our Tribute to Odin. Featuring Huginn and Muninn, two giant ravens used by Odin as spies. They were created for him as a gift by Hekate. They are immortal and capable of human speech. It also appears that Odin can control them telepathically. Hugin and Munin travel the world bearing news and information to Odin. Huginn is "thought" and Muninn is "memory". They are sent out at dawn to gather information and return in the evening. They perch on the god's shoulders and whisper the news into his ears. From Grímnismál: The whole world wide, every day, Fly Hugin and Munin; I worry lest Hugin should fall in flight, Yet more I fear for Munin. Between the two ravens is the seal of Odin, otherwise known as the Triple Horn of Odin - a symbol of commitment to the Gods. The box measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 4" and has a woven knot around the base. Stained to bring out details and sealed for protection.
